Community Outreach Ministry--Click here for current Community Outreach Needs

This is Calvary's response to the admonition in Matthew to take care of our neighbor. We work closely with the Women's Crisis Center and other community agencies in responding to the needs of men, women and children in our community. Through the generosity and caring spirit of Calvary's members and others in the community, we have provided many families with furniture, household items, bedding, clothing, food, and numerous other items. Requests for items will be placed in the Sunday bulletin or monthly newsletter. If you have an item to donate call Cindy Olson at 385-2859 or call the church office at 346-4780.

Share your food with the hungry and provide the poor wanderer with shelter-when you see the naked, clothe him, and turn not away from you own flesh and blood. Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.--Isaiah 58:6-8

Calvary’s Short Term Mission Experiences

These are a way for us to love and serve our neighbor as Jesus taught us through his love and service to others. Through a variety of yearly trips, we combine a service project with time for reflection and spiritual growth and rest. It allows a person to experience a mission field that is far enough away from home to immerse into another community, whether stateside or abroad, for anywhere from five to 14 days. For more information, contact the church office. For more about Calvary's short-term mission policy, click here.

Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”--Mark 12:30-31
